Genealogy Collection

The library has a collection of genealogical materials including local family histories, cemetery records, and other items of interest.

The Greene Public Library's genealogy collection contains archives of The Greene Recorder, Butler County cemetary records, and a variety of books on Butler County and Greene history.  The books in the genealogy collection are located in the Iowa section of the library and are available during regular library hours. Most materials can be checked out. The librarians are available to assist patrons with genealogy research.

Below are some online resources to assist you in your research.
