There is plenty to see and do at the Greene Public Library! In the city of Greene, Iowa just two blocks from the business district and the Shell Rock River, the library is in a peaceful location perfect for taking in a good book.

The library has a large selection of reading materials, audiobooks on CD, movies, puzzles, and games for all ages. The computer lab holds 5 public computers, and an additional 3 computers for patrons are located throughout the library. We also have one laptop computer and a learning center computer filled with educational games for children.

The children's area includes a Lego table, reading nook, and coloring area. The teen section is where you will find a computer and a selection of board games and puzzles, along with Young Adult books. A diverse selection of large print books can also be found near the teen section. Head over to our newspaper & magazine area and take a seat in one of our recliners or say hello to our pet fish.

The library has one meeting room with a kitchenette attached available for patron use.  This room includes a television, DVD player, whiteboard, and overhead projector.  A full-size refrigerator, sink, oven, microwave, and coffee pot are available in the kitchenette. The meeting room has access to our public restrooms, drinking fountain, and coat rack.
